Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reveal the new Naval Ensign (Nishaan) for the Indian Navy during the launch of India's first indigenous aircraft carrier, Vikrant, on Friday in Kochi.

The Prime Minister's Office issued a statement on Tuesday on PM Modi's visit to Kerala and Karnataka. The statement read, “At 9:30 AM on 2nd September, Prime Minister will commission the first indigenous aircraft carrier as INS Vikrant at Cochin Shipyard Limited in Kochi.”
