Mallika Sagar, a Mumbai-based art collector and consultant for modern and contemporary Indian art, has been appointed as the female auctioneer for the Women's Premier League (WPL) by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
According to reports, this is the first time a female auctioneer will preside over the proceedings. "The inaugural edition of the Women's Premier League is set to be played in Mumbai from March 4, 2023, to March 26, 2023," BCCI said in its statement.
