Indian American healthcare and tech entrepreneur, Vivek Ramaswamy, announced his candidacy for the 2024 United States Presidential elections on February 21, 2023. He filed his candidacy with the Federal Election Commission and is reportedly scheduled to speak at a Polk County Republican event in Iowa on Thursday, February 23, 2023.
Announcing his bid during a live interview with Fox News, the 37-year-old said, "I am proud to say tonight that I am running for president to revive those ideals in this country. I think we need to put ‘merit’ back into ‘America’ in every spirit of our lives."
