Medical education gets a boost in J&K

20 district government hospitals in Jammu and Kashmir will receive 265 DNB post-graduate medical seats thanks to government funding.

In an effort to make medical education more accessible in Jammu and Kashmir, the government has granted 265 Diplomate of National Board (DNB) Post-Graduate medical seats across 20 district government hospitals in the union territory.

The initiative was lauded by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who praised the advent of medical education in the region. Sharing a tweet by Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Mansukh Mandaviya, he wrote, “This is an important effort aimed at empowering the youth and furthering medical infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir!”
