Maharashtra signs MOUs worth US$17 billion at Davos

The deals were inked in the areas of pharmaceuticals, logistics, chemicals, autos, electric vehicles, renewable energy, among others.

Maharashtra's Chief Minister Eknath Shinde at the World Economic Forum(WEF),  signed 21 Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) worth more than US$17 billion with major overseas investors and global firms.

According to a news release the investments are expected to generate more than 66,500 jobs in the State over the Next four years and kickstart its ambitious $ 1 trillion economy goal.
