Brewing Thoughts Pvt Ltd is set to produce a remake of an old Indian Television show, ‘Captain Vyom’ into a web series. The TV show was directed by filmmaker Ketan Mehta and aired weekly on DD National in 1998.
The superhero television series - Shaktimaan, which also ran on DD National in the late 1990s, is having a remake made by Sony Pictures. Meanwhile, content studio Applause Entertainment is considering the creation of animated tales based on ‘Amar Chitra Katha’. The rise of viewership for old movies and songs during the pandemic has sparked directors in making remakes to poke nostalgia in the viewers.
