Legendary Indian singer, Lata Mangeshkar has been featured at the 84th spot in the list of the 200 best pop singers of all time, published by the renowned American magazine Rolling Stone.
The vocalist dubbed as the "Nightingale of India" passed away aged 92 in 2022. During her lifetime, she was often been credited for popularising Indian film music and recognised with prestigious national honors for the same.
According to the magazine, the melody queen's "crystalline, eternally girlish voice" is a "cornerstone of Indian pop music, with a global influence spread via Bollywood films, whose golden era she defined."
