Telangana IT and Industries Minister K.T. Rama Rao’s visit to the United States resulted in the signing of major investment projects meetings in Boston. The Minister also discussed the significance of Hyderabad and Telangana in the broader context of US-India ties with former UN Ambassador and Governor of South Carolina, Nikki Haley.

As a result of KTR’s visit to the States, Hyderabad gained a large investments in the area of health sciences and the IT sector. Firms like Sonata Software, Sanofi and Pi Health are planning huge investments in the state.
StemCures, an FDA-compliant medical clinic based in Ohio, has announced plans to build a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Telangana with a primary focus on cutting-edge stem cell therapy. The goal of this ambitious project is to build India's largest stem cell production factory. This enterprise has enormous potential, with an estimated US$54 million in investment possibilities and the potential to hire 150 people across several phases.

The announcement came after a meeting between Dr Sairam Atluri, the founder of StemCures, and KTR which took place in Boston. Meanwhile, Dr. Bobby Reddy, co-founder of Pi Health also met the Minister in Boston and informed him of the decision to establish an integrated cancer hospital and research centre in Hyderabad.
Sonata, a leading modernization engineering firm, announced its decision to expanding its footprint in Tier-II towns of Telangana by adding 200 jobs in Nalgonda and World's largest asset management company ‘State Street’ announced an expansion in Hyderabad by adding 5,000 new jobs, making it the second largest workforce outside its headquarters.
