Indian cricketer Virat Kohli paved the way for India as the Rohit-led Indian cricket team won the match against Shakib Al Hasan-led Bangladesh at the T20 World Cup 2022 on Wednesday.

The 33-year-old also broke Mahela Jayawardene's long-standing world record at the World Cup. Jayawardene congratulated Kohli and shared a special message for the former Indian captain. He noted that Kohli has been a warrior throughout his cricket career.
