Kerala features in New York Times list of must visit places in 2023

The NYT also mentions in its report, Kumarakom, a small village noted for its scenic backwaters where visitors can engage in various activities such as weaving ropes from coconut fibre, paddling in canals, and climbing palm trees.

Kerala, popularly known as ‘God’s Own Country’, has become the only state of India to feature in The New York Times list of 52 places to visit in 2023.

The report of The New York Times described Kerala as ‘a southern Indian state celebrated for its beaches, backwater lagoons, cuisine and rich cultural traditions like the Vaikathashtami Festival’.
