The second edition of India Startup Fest (ISF) 2023 is slated to take place in Bengaluru, India on August 11 and 12, 2023. The two-day event will likely be attended by various international delegations from Europe, U.S., UAE, and the U.K.
The event aims to bring together the startup ecosystem under one roof to help the organizations advance in their mission and the larger scheme of things, drive toward an “Atmanirbhar”, meaning self-reliant India, an initiative promoted by the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The highlight of the fest will be the ISF Competition where 100 finalists from the participating startup companies will be allowed to find exposure, network, seek investment, and be mentored by industry experts, along with the chance to win a cash prize. ISF 2023 is also hosting the global Young Transformers Competition encouraging participating teams to submit innovative and creative ideas on themes and solutions aligned to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) framed by the United Nations. Finalists will showcase their ideas to venture capitalists and angel investors on both days.
More than 100 Chief Experience Officers (CXOs) and Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) will be in attendance at the event, alongside more than 30 speakers. ISF will likely see participation from over 10,000 startups and the presence of more than 500 Angel Investors, VCs, High Net Worth individuals (HNIs), and mentors.
According to a report by PwC, funding activity for startups declined in the third quarter of the calendar year 2022, compared to the second quarter. The report reveals companies received US $6.6 million during Q2 CY22, and Q3 2022 registered a significant drop with US$2.7 million raised. ISF aims to make up the shortfall through the event.
