India’s UPI and Singapore’s PayNow integrated

According to a statement released by the Prime Minister's office yesterday, the immediate and inexpensive transfer is especially helpful for students and migratory workers of both nations.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Singaporean counterpart Lee Hsien Loong announced the cross-border connectivity of real-time digital payment systems via video conferencing to enable instant, safer and cost-effective transactions.

Residents in the two regions will be able to conduct quicker and more affordable transactions thanks to the simple linkage between Singapore's PayNow and India's Unified Payments Interface (UPI).
