India's internet freedom improves after four-years of decline: Freedom House

Reduced frequency and intensity of internet shutdowns in the country has had a huge contribution in the improvement of the score.

The US government-funded NGO Freedom House on Tuesday had said that India's internet freedom score has been improved by two points to 51 in the global ranking following efforts to bridge the digital divide in the country.

Most importantly, reduced frequency and intensity of internet shutdowns in the country has had a huge contribution in the improvement of the score.
