India’s first private rocket Vikram-S to be launched from Sriharikota launchpad

The launch vehicles of Skyroot are still referred to as 'Vikram' as a token of respect for the eminent scientist and pioneer of the Indian space programme Vikram Sarabhai.

Vikram-S, India's first privately built rocket, is planned to be launched from the Sriharikota launchpad of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Tuesday, Nov. 15.

Skyroot Aerospace, a startup based in Hyderabad, built Vikram-S, India's first private rocket. With three payloads, the rocket will launch on the Prarambh sub-orbital mission. This move will create a favourable atmosphere for private enterprises in the aviation industry.
