The Immigration, refugees and citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced the top 10 countries of new immigrants, which contributed around 437,120 permanent residents to the country in the year 2022.
With 118,095 immigrants arriving in Canada in 2022, India maintained its lead on the list followed by China. However, CIC news reported that fewer people from these two nations are immigrants now than they were in 2021. The immigration from India was 32 percent in 2021 compared to 27 percent in 2022.
