Indian women’s rights activist wins Changemaker award

Out of more than 3,000 applications from 150 different countries, the finalists were chosen.

Srishti Bakshi, an Indian marketer turned women's rights activist, received the ‘Changemaker award’ at the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDG) Action Awards for combating gender-based violence and supporting safe access to public spaces, according to the UN SDG.

In less than a year, she had travelled 3,800 kilometres across the entire nation to spread awareness about gender-based violence and inequality.
