Indian origin scientist appointed to Australian STEM expert panel

She has been appointed to the independent expert panel for the Pathway to Diversity in STEM Review by Minister for Industry and Science

To support diversity in Australia's STEM sectors, associate professor Parwinder Kaur, a renowned biotechnologist and fellow of the UWA Public Policy Institute will collaborate with the Federal Government, drawing on her years of experience as a scientist, academic and immigrant.

As one of three panelists and the lone academic from West Australia, she was chosen by the Minister of Industry and Science, Ed Husic, to serve on the independent expert panel for the Pathway to Diversity in STEM Review.‌

‌The review is a component of the Government's aim to improve diversity and broaden community participation in Australia's scientific, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) industries.
