Indian-origin activist Rajagopal P V will receive the 40th Niwano Peace Prize from the Niwano Peace Foundation on May 11, 2023, in Tokyo. The award is in recognition of his service to the marginalized community in his country and his fight for human dignity and equality.
In addition to the award, Rajagopal, a member of the Gandhian family, will receive a medal and a cash prize of around US $149,000.
