Indian cinema history to be exhibited at Louvre Abu Dhabi

India makes more than 1,500 movies every year in 20 different languages, making it the biggest movie producer in the world.

Abu Dhabi's Louvre will host an exhibition to showcase the story of Indian cinema's evolution as part of its vibrant 2022–2023 cultural season. Tiled, 'The planned Bollywood Superstars: A Short Story of Indian Cinema' the exhibition will debut on January 24 and run through June 4, 2023.

Organized in collaboration with Musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac and France Muséums, the exhibition will have on display a collection of 80 artworks, including photographs, textiles, graphic arts, costumes and over 30 film clips.
