Mary Millben, 40, was the first American and African American artiste to be invited to India by the Indian council for cultural relations (ICCR) for the 75th Independence Day celebrations.
Recollecting instances from 2022, Millben wrote in a LinkedIn post that visiting India was her most memorable moment in 2022.
"I can never express fully in words the gratitude I have to India, the Indian American community, and Indian communities across the world for all the love and warmth you shared with me this year".
