India-US partnership is critical: Amb Sandhu

The frequent engagements between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Joe Biden and consultations at the ministerial and senior levels have provided overall direction to the relationship between India and the US, Indian envoy Taranjit Singh Sandhu has said.

Sandhu, who is India’s ambassador to the United States, said that on both sides there is recognition amongst the political leadership on a bipartisan basis that the India-US partnership is critical.

He said this in a keynote address at the 'India at 75' Conference at the School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University on Saturday.
