India got the lead in the first match of the T20I series against South Africa, winning by eight wickets at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, on Wednesday.
Bowling first, the Indian bowlers decimated the South African team by claiming half of their wickets even before they could put up double digit runs on the board. In spite of the absence of ace bowler Jasprit Bumrah dropping out due to injury, the Indian bowling attack showed no signs of weakness, receiving a lot of advantage from the surface.
