India's first human space flight to take off in 2024

Due to paramount importance on crew safety, Singh said that two test vehicle missions are planned before the actual mission.

India’s first human space flight, Gaganyaan, is on schedule to be launched in the last quarter of  2024, informed Union Minister for Science and Technology, Dr Jitendra Singh.

At the recently concluded winter session of Parliament, in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha, the Minister disclosed that the astronauts selected for the mission are currently undergoing their mission specific training at Bengaluru.
