India moves up four spots to 5th place in Hurun Global 500 list

Four of the Indian businesses on the list have their headquarters in Ahmedabad, while eleven have theirs in Mumbai.

India has risen to fifth place among nations that are home to the top 500 corporations in the globe, boasting 20 of the most valuable companies in the world. It had eight enterprises and placed tenth the previous year.

The list compiled by the Hurun Research Institute ranks the 500 most valuable privately held businesses in the world based on valuations for non-listed companies and market capitalization for listed companies.
