India finishes 4th on final day of CWG 2022, closing ceremony gets “Punjabi” touch!

Gold medalists paddler Achanta Sharath Kamal and boxer Nikhat Zareen were the flagbearers for India during the closing ceremony of the games

India finished fourth on the final medal standings list of the 2022 Commonwealth Games (CWG) in Brimingham, with a total of 61 medals, including 22 gold, 16 silver and 23 bronze medals.

On the final day of the games, India clinched 6 medals including 4 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals. Three golds came from shuttlers PV Sindhu (Women's Singles), Lakshya Sen (Men's Singles), and the pair of Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty (Men's Doubles) while Table tennis veteran, Achanta Sharath Kamal won gold in Men's Singles event.
