India to promote its currency in Sri Lanka

Sri Lankan nationals are now permitted to physically possess up to US$10,000, about 8.14 lakh Indian rupees. In addition, they will be able to exchange the neighboring country's currency for those of other countries, facilitating trade.

Due to the fact that India, the fifth-largest economy in the world, happens to also be one of Sri Lanka's main trading partners, this could aid the country passing through an unparalleled economic crisis.
