India could be world leader in EV production: Berkeley study

Improvements in technology might lower the cost of operating electric trucks, and propel the scale of India’s EV production.

A recent study by Berkeley National Laboratory and UCLA states India has the potential to overtake the rest of the world in the production of electric vehicles.

According to the study this can be achieved by switching from diesel-fueled trucks to electric-charged ones. The transition will also help the country achieve its goal of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by the year 2070.
