India conveys Zelenskyy its readiness to contribute to any peace efforts: PM Modi

Separate conversations between Narendra Modi and Volodymyr Zelenskyy covered the topic of world food security. The Ukrainian President emphasised that Kyiv is prepared to continue serving as a guarantor of the food security of the world

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of Ukraine, informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the phone on Tuesday that Kyiv will not engage in negotiations with the present president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, unless the annexation of Ukrainian lands is declared null and void.

Zelenskyy and PM Modi spoke over the phone to express India's willingness to support any peace initiatives. According to the Indian readout, PM Modi had emphasized that there cannot be a military solution to the situation and reiterated his appeal for a swift end to hostilities and the necessity to pursue the path of discussion and diplomacy.
