The United States and India discussed ways and means to limit terrorists' ability to travel abroad during the 19th meeting of the India-US Counter Terrorism Joint Working Group and the fifth meeting of the India-US Designations Dialogue, both of which were held in Delhi on December 12 and 13.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) reported that the two sides also discussed the threat posed by organizations that the UN has designated as terrorist organisations and stressed the need for coordinated action against terror organisations like Al-Qaida, ISIS/Daesh, Lashkar e- Tayyiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), and Al Badr.
