A group of over 50 Hindu American organizations have slammed a recently passed resolution by the Teaneck Democratic Municipal Committee (TDMC).

Describing it as “hateful,” they said that it demonized their community by falsely condemning some Hindu groups and choosing sides in the issue of treatment of the Muslims in India. The groups which represent more than 155,000 residents of Bergen County, New Jersey and surrounding areas signed a coalition letter expressing outrage at the resolution and requested that the action be rescinded.
