The Hindu American Foundation (HAF) has partnered with the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the leading anti-hate organization in the world, to spread awareness about the Hindu dharmic symbol Swastika in California and nationwide.

In February, Assembly member Bauer-Kahan introduced a bill in the California assembly to equalize hate crime penalties. AB 2282 aims to decriminalize the display of the swastika for peaceful purposes. The bill was passed by the assembly and is yet to be passed by the senate.
