Head coach Rahul Dravid tests COVID positive ahead of Asia Cup

Star bowler Jasprit Bumrah and right-arm bowler Harshal Patel will be missing out on the squad owing to injuries

Ahead of the Asia Cup tournament, Team India’s head Coach Rahul Dravid has tested positive for COVID-19, a statement issued by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said.

“Dravid is under the supervision of the BCCI Medical team and has mild symptoms. He will join the team once he returns with a negative COVID-19 report,” Jay Shah, honorary secretary of the BCCI said in a official statement.
