Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya will captain the Indian T20I squad in the upcoming series against Sri Lanka, which is scheduled to begin on January 3 in Mumbai.
Regular skipper Rohit Sharma, who suffered a left thumb injury while fielding at slip during the second ODI against Bangladesh earlier this month will be back for the ODI leg of Sri Lanka's tour, which commences in Guwahati on January 10.
