Indian Professor Hardev Singh Virk has been conferred with the Fray International Sustainability Award for outstanding research in irradiating minerals, glass and polymer and other insulators using high ion beams.
Virk has become the only Punjabi Sikh and first Indian to be recognised for the honor by the Canadian not-for-profit corporation FLOGEN Stars Outreach, since the inception of the award in 2011.
