US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken on Jan. 4, 2023, recalled tech giant Google's commitment to mentor one million Indian women entrepreneurs on means to grow their businesses.

In his address at the launch of the U.S. Strategy on Global Women’s Economic Security, he said, “President Biden came into office with a commitment to gender equality and equity because, as he puts it, and I quote: ‘governments, economies, and communities are stronger when they include the full participation of women.’”

To make true on that commitment, the Secretary said that efforts are being made to recreate the U.S.-India Alliance for Women’s Economic Empowerment model that  "connects the private sector and civil society to provide Indian women with technical skills and networking opportunities to help them grow their businesses."
