Generation Vegan, a non-profit, wrote to UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, challenging him to adopt a plant-based diet for one month in exchange for a £1 million (US$ 1.05 million) donation to a charity of his choice.

"We would like to donate €1Million to a charity of your choice in exchange for your adopting a plant-based diet for one month," GenV wrote in an open letter to the British Prime Minister.

The organization is engaged in educating people about the environmental, ethical, personal, and public health benefits of adopting a plant-based diet. It has previously posed similar challenges to world leaders including US President Joe Biden, former President Donald Trump and the Pope.

"Adopting a plant-based diet is one of the best things we can do to champion the cause of British farmers and our countryside while also meeting our emission reduction commitments and supporting public health," the letter states urging the Prime Minister to consider going Vegan to help his country move a step closer to achieving its climate goals.
