The Indian government has extended the deadline for those in the diaspora to obtain Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cards till December 31, 2023.
The government had mandated all Person of Indian Origin (PIO) card holders convert their cards into OCI cards after the PIO Scheme was phased out by the government in the year 2015.
