To provide impetus to the strong bilateral trade ties between the UAE and India, Expo Centre Sharjah inked a deal with the Council of Indian Exhibition Organisers (CIEO), the apex body of Indian exhibition and conference organisers, on March 7, 2023.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Expo Centre, CEO, Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, founder of CIEO Syed Mohammad Quaim and senior Expo Centre executives and members of the CIEO at Expo Centre Sharjah.

Speaking at the event, Al Midfa said “Though relations between the UAE and India have historically been strong, the free trade agreement deal signed a year ago has accelerated these ties further. Through this MoU, Expo Centre and the CIEO will play a key role in boosting these ties by exploring opportunities for partnerships, joint ventures, and new events."

On the deal between two sides to advance trade between India and UAE, Syed Mohammad Quaim commented,“ While this would help in facilitating the growth of India’s exhibition sector, the UAE and the rest of the GCC countries can take advantage of the surge in trade and investments with India.”

CIEO is a representative body of Indian exhibition and conference organizers and its members include large and MSME organizers, Indian and international organizers as well as apex chamber and trade associations.
