Calibike, founded by Indian American Rafe Husain, recently announced its launch and demonstrated its product at City Hall in the presence of Corona Mayor Tom Richins.

Known for its cutting-edge electric bikes and top-selling e-bike batteries, the firm aims to complement public transport systems like Brightline West by offering a green "last-mile" solution for commuters. Calibike's launch aligns with California’s aggressive zero-emission goals, which target 100 percent zero-emission vehicle sales by 2035.

Mayor Richins praised the innovation, saying, "Calibike represents the kind of innovative, forward-thinking solution we need to reduce our environmental impact. Their donation to the Park Rangers is a testament to their dedication to sustainability and community."

The mayor formally recognised and acknowledged the contributions of Calibike, stating "I hereby gratefully acknowledge Calibike for their generous donation to the Corona Community Services Department Park Ranger Program and for their commitment and outstanding leadership to our community."

Husain, the only Indian American innovator in the electric bike industry, said, “Calibike is more than just an electric bike—it’s a critical part of the broader shift toward sustainable, integrated transportation solutions,” Husain said, emphasizing the company’s role in promoting environmentally conscious transportation.

An accomplished inventor and entrepreneur, Husain has contributed extensively to the tech industry, holding several patents. His leadership has shaped Calibike into a key player in the electric bike market, and his efforts serve as an inspiration for aspiring innovators, a release by the city of Corona said.
