Dr. Shashi Chopra has been a resident of the Washington metropolitan area since 1975. Originally from Chandigarh, India, she has devoted more than five decades to strengthening communities through service, philanthropy, cultural leadership, education, and humanitarian work. A successful entrepreneur and community leader, Dr. Chopra began her professional career in banking before becoming the owner and operator of a hospitality business, which she led for more than 27 years. Dr. Chopra with her husband, Mr. Ravi Chopra have been founding leaders of Rajdhani Mandir, Global Seva Fund, and the Sadabahaar Senior Group, creating institutions and programs that have touched the lives of thousands of people locally and around the world.
