‘Would make a very good VP…’ Trump on Vivek Ramaswamy

When asked for his perspective on Ramaswamy's performance during the debate, Trump expressed his belief that Ramaswamy performed admirably.

Former President Trump commended fellow GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, expressing that the entrepreneur has truly set himself apart. Trump's remarks came during his appearance on Glenn Beck's show on Blaze TV. During the conversation, Beck inquired if Trump had contemplated Ramaswamy as a prospective running mate.

“He’s a smart guy. He’s a young guy. He’s got a lot of talent. He’s a very, very, very intelligent person,” Trump said adding “I tell you, I think he'd be very good,” when asked if he had considered the 38-year-old biotech entrepreneur for vice president.

Ramaswamy emerged as the main attraction at the first Republican debate, which witnessed eight Republican candidates competing for the opportunity to contest the US Presidential elections. The debate took place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, focusing on the candidates' justifications for their selection by the party. The Indian-American entrepreneur garnered substantial attention, particularly due to his remarks concerning the Ukraine war, Donald Trump, and climate change.

When asked for his perspective on Ramaswamy's performance during the debate, Trump expressed his belief that Ramaswamy performed admirably. Trump further noted that he particularly appreciated Ramaswamy's declaration of him as the greatest president of the 21st century, despite being seen as a potential rival.

Ramaswamy, a second-generation Indian-American, established Roivant Sciences in 2014 and oversaw the largest biotech initial public offerings (IPOs) in both 2015 and 2016. Recent opinion polls position Ramaswamy as the third-highest contender, following Trump and Florida governor Ron DeSantis.
