Toastmasters to debut Hindi-English bilingual club in U.S.

The first Hindi-English bilingual Toastmasters club in the United States is set to officially charter in April 2026, the global nonprofit educational organization announced.
Called the Hinglish Express Toastmasters, the club welcomes both native and nonnative speakers of Hindi and English to develop fluency in both languages while building confidence in public speaking.

The meetings will follow Toastmasters’ established format, including prepared speech segments based on the Pathways educational curriculum, as well as “Table Topics,” where members practice thinking on their feet by answering questions without prior preparation. Individual evaluations are a key component, offering personalized feedback designed to help speakers refine their delivery and communication style.
Participants also have opportunities to take on leadership roles within the club, helping them develop organizational and interpersonal skills.
As the Indian diaspora in the United States continues to expand, initiatives like Hinglish Express Toastmasters seek to bridge cultural and linguistic gaps while empowering participants to grow both personally and professionally.

The club is part of Toastmasters International, a nonprofit that has empowered individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders since 1924. Today, Toastmasters has 13,800 clubs in 149 countries including India and U.S.
