Former Vice President Kamala Harris called for a revival of the American dream while sharply criticizing the American political and economic system under President Donald Trump in a keynote address at the Fisher Shackelford Dinner hosted by the Democratic Party of Arkansas.
“It is time for a revival of the American dream. A revival of an economy where once more a full week of work means you can afford your groceries and your energy bill, all the basics. It’s time for a revival of the American dream, where when you work hard, you’re also able to spend time with friends, raise a family, buy a home, and go on vacation from time to time, where it’s not just about getting by, but getting ahead,” Harris said.
