Ohio State student Sarosh Sheth killed in DUI crash
The 21-year-old neuroscience major died after a driver allegedly ran a red light and struck two pedestrians in Columbus.

An Indian-origin Ohio State University student was killed on July 22 after a driver allegedly under the influence struck two pedestrians on a sidewalk in Columbus, authorities said.
According to the Columbus Division of Police, the crash occurred at about 2:40 p.m. in the Weinland Park neighborhood when a Ford Mustang traveling east on King Avenue turned onto North High Street, ran a red light and hit two pedestrians on the sidewalk.

The vehicle then continued into a Kroger parking lot, where it landed on top of an occupied parked car.
One of the pedestrians, identified as 21-year-old Sarosh Sheth, was taken to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in critical condition and was later pronounced dead.
The second pedestrian was also hospitalized in critical condition. The occupant of the parked car was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
Police said the driver was treated for injuries at the scene before being arrested. Authorities have filed a charge of operating a vehicle under the influence. Investigators said alcohol and/or narcotics are believed to have contributed to the crash. Additional charges could be filed as the investigation continues.
Ohio State University identified Sheth as a neuroscience major and extended condolences following his death.
"Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this extremely difficult time," the university said in a statement.
Sheth was the son of physician parents and had graduated from Warren JFK High School, where he was a standout varsity soccer player and served as the kicker for the Eagles' football team.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
