Astronaut Shukla returns to India, set to meet PM Modi

Indian Astronaut Group Capt. Shubhanshu Shukla reached India on Aug. 17, 2025, after the successful completion of his Axiom-4 Space Mission.

Lucknow-born Shukla was selected to be part of a four-member crew that was sent to the International Space Station in a private space mission by Axiom, in collaboration with ISRO and NASA. After completing his mission, Shukla returned to Earth on July 15 and has since been in America, recovering and readjusting to Earth's conditions.
