Keynote speaker Sumeet Bahl discussed the spiritual and scientific benefits of veganism, highlighting how mindful dietary choices connect personal health with ethical and societal well-being. His address framed veganism as both a practical lifestyle and a philosophical approach grounded in intention and compassionate decision-making.

Additional sessions explored insights on Blue Zones, longevity, plant-based nutrition, and the preventive value of whole-food diets in improving long-term health outcomes. Attendees also examined environmental impacts tied to animal agriculture, including emissions, water use, and land pressures associated with industrial farming.

Reflections on ahimsa, compassion, and mindfulness emphasized the ethical and spiritual foundations of sustainable living. A guided meditation session encouraged participants to link dietary awareness with mindful practice and daily choices.

The program recognized founders, former chapter presidents, and community leaders for their contributions to the organization’s mission. Organizers also announced new leadership roles within the New York chapter as part of its ongoing community engagement efforts.

Live music and a vegan Thanksgiving meal provided space for interaction, connection, and shared learning among attendees.
