Inaugural NJ TiEcon concludes with focus on intelligence revolution

The New Jersey chapter of  The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) hosted its inaugural TiEcon New Jersey 2026 conference on June 13 at the APA Hotel Woodbridge. 

The event, held under the theme, "Leading the Intelligence Revolution: Garden State to Global Stage,"was inaugurated by New Jersey Lieutenant Governor Dale G. Caldwell, who delivered the keynote speech on leadership, innovation and New Jersey's economic future.

The conference which featured 24 speakers, three keynote sessions, four industry panels, a startup showcase and a fireside chat with TiE Co-Founder Kanwal Rekhi, brought together entrepreneurs, investors, corporate leaders and policymakers for a day of networking, learning and collaboration.

Reflecting on the success of the event, TiE New Jersey president Diya Mathews said the conference exceeded expectations and highlighted the strength of the region's entrepreneurial ecosystem. 

“I’m incredibly proud of the energy, ideas, and connections this year’s conference sparked. The success of TiEcon NJ 2026 reflects the strength of our ecosystem and our shared commitment to helping founders dream bigger, scale smarter, and build with impact,” Mathews said.

Badri Nittoor, TiE New Jersey board member and conference convenor, said the event demonstrated New Jersey's growing influence in innovation and entrepreneurship.

"We set out to show that New Jersey can lead the intelligence revolution — and a sold-out room of founders, investors, and industry leaders, alongside conversations spanning AI, fintech, life sciences, and venture investing, made it clear this community is more than ready for that role. I'm deeply grateful to every speaker and panelist who made the day extraordinary, and I'm excited for what TiEcon New Jersey will become in the years ahead,” Nittoor said.

Participants from the technology, healthcare, finance and venture capital sectors attended the conference, creating opportunities for partnerships, investment discussions and knowledge exchange.

Organizers thanked speakers, sponsors, partners, volunteers and attendees for contributing to the conference's success and helping establish TiEcon New Jersey as a new platform for fostering entrepreneurship and innovation in the state.
