Cyberattack on AIIMS exposes security risk

On November 23, an unidentified person or persons conducted a cyberattack on the servers of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.

In November,  a cyberattack on the servers of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the Indian capital, rendered data unusable for nearly two weeks. It slowly returned to normalcy on Dec.02, 2022.

The servers holding laboratory data and patient records were compromised and rendered unusable preventing health care professionals from accessing vital patient information.
