Columbia University Professor Shree K. Nayar to receive Okawa prize

‌‌The Okawa Prize, which is funded by the Okawa Foundation, is given to individuals who have made remarkable contributions to research, technological advancement and business in the information and telecommunications industries on a global scale.

Shree K. Nayar, the T. C. Chang Professor of Computer Science at Columbia Engineering, will be honoured with The Okawa prize at a ceremony in Tokyo in March 2023, for his groundbreaking work in computer vision and computational imaging.

‌‌Nayar is being recognized for “the invention of innovative imaging techniques and their widespread use in digital photography and computer vision.”
