Air India, which is owned by the Tata Group, is optimising its domestic flight strategy under the direction of Campbell Wilson, its new Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, by "densifying" its presence on metro-to-metro routes and giving up unprofitable ones.

The new management of Air India appears to be placing a high premium on network optimization as the carrier has reportedly made several adjustments to its domestic flight operations.
